Commitment to Excellence, Inc. (CTE) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We identify, obtain, and direct resources to assist in improving the lives of individuals within the local communities of metro Atlanta Georgia. Established by the Delta Mu Mu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., CTE’s primary initiatives focus on children, specifically African American males.

Our Mission
Commitment to Excellence supports programs and activities that enhance the lives of children and families in the Metropolitan Atlanta area principally through mentorship and scholarship.
Our Priorities
Statistics show that African American children, particularly males, are more likely to fall through the cracks during their most critical formative years without access to information, activities and role models that provide regular opportunities to learn while igniting a fire to dream big, to aspire, to be the best they can be.
At Commitment to Excellence, we believe that adverse life experiences, low income, and economic disadvantage should not be a deterrent to exposure, access, learning or growth. We believe these inherent opportunities should be woven into the cultural fabric of life for all children.
A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAIRMAN
Patrick C. Daniel
Chairman of the Board
Enjoying a career that spans over 32 years with several global organizations, Patrick is recognized as an accomplished Human Resources leader and business practitioner.
Patrick C. Daniel currently serves as Chief Human Resources Officer of General Aviation Terminal (GAT); an airline ground operations organization based in Peachtree City, Ga.
In Patrick’s role he is responsible for the development and delivery of strategies and plans that build organizational health, organizational
strength, and organizational capability for eighty (80) airport locations within the United States and Canada
Prior to his most recent role, Patrick provided 12 years of service as Vice President of Human Resources for the William L. Bonnell Company, an industrial sector manufacturing organization based in Newnan, Georgia supporting the building and construction, automotive, and specialty products markets throughout North America.
Prior to this role, Patrick provided 13 years of service as a Senior Director of Human Resources and Community Affairs for The Coca-Cola Company throughout North America, Europe, and the Caribbean.
Prior to his tenure with The Coca-Cola Company, Patrick served as a Human Resources Leader for the PepsiCo Company, Kraft Food’s Inc., and the Hoechst Celanese Corporation.
Patrick holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a Master's Degree in Human Resources Management from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Ga.
Patrick serves as a member of the Society of Human Resources Management, the Georgia Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, the Omega
Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and has served on the Board of Trustees of Knoxville College in Knoxville, Tennessee, and Board of Directors for the Fulton Atlanta Community Action Authority.
Patrick is highly active in the Atlanta area business community, and he currently serves as a Board of Director for the Commitment to Excellence Foundation.
An accomplished public speaker, Patrick has been quoted in USATODAY, The Atlanta Business Chronicle, and several business publications.
Patrick has served as a guest panelist and keynote speaker for numerous organizations, conferences and radio broadcasts offering his professional perspectives and experiences on the subject of Human Capital.

Community service or volunteerism enables students to acquire life skills and knowledge while providing a service to those who need it most. While effectively preventing a variety of problems such as alcohol and drug use, violence, truancy, and bullying, social skills learning promotes students’ academic success, health, and overall well-being. The development of life skills helps students to find new ways of critical thinking and problem solving in everyday life.

Investing in education is a gift with immeasurable reward when it makes attending college an achievable option for a deserving student. Encouraging students to explore coursework in STEM, the arts, and entrepreneurship will prepare them for desirable jobs and ultimately more fruitful careers in the future. Mentoring improves attendance, academic achievement classroom behaviors, life skills and self-efficacy.
